So uh, I wasn’t really expecting much with this anime since I never saw much about it when it was actually airing. At the end of the first episode, I didn’t feel like I got much out of it either. Dont ask how I found it or where, because I have no clue. But it for whatever reason (busy with school, watching other anime, etc) I never got around to watching it even though I had the full season stored on my computer. There’s only 12 episodes so I’ll probably watch it even if I dont enjoy it, because that’s the true sign of an anime addict!

My first impression was that the artwork wasn’t exactly to my liking. The one real guy in the anime is drawn okay, but the rest are female(i’m not including Hazumu since he’s gonna turn female anyway). I’m not exactly sure what it is, maybe the faces are too round or the body’s aren’t drawn well. It just rubs me the wrong way (as opposed to….the “right” way?). But anyways, There wasn’t much plot and it could easily be summed up in less than a paragraph, yet I’ll try to stretch it out.

Well we get a nice confusing peice of dialog(with no sound) and a kiss right at the beginning. Who’s that? Why are they kissing? Welll, you kinda find out this episode. After that, you get a glimpse of what seems to be Aliens hovering around earth. It’s kind of mysterious, I guess.

Meanwhile, Hazumu is walking through the forest for some unknown reason to the viewer and falls down a hill. Aparently it’s the same hill he fell down in the past and landed on a girl in his class, Kamiizumi. They do the whole blush thing and end up becoming friends due to their love for plants. Their friendship blossums(pun intended) when they decide to take some primulas from the mountain and plant some at school.

While Hazumu and Kamiizumi’s story blossums(haha okay i’ll stop), you see snipets of present day here and there. Hazumu’s friend, Asuta, is looking for him to give him “something.” He runs into Hazumu’s two female friends Tomari and Ayuki, and accidently reveals that the “something” is really dirty magazines (not that dirty but for lack of a better word).

At this point the past and present are pretty much caught up with eachother, and figure out that Hazumu confessed to Kamiizumi, which is why he’s by himself in the forest. All three kind of feel bad because they influenced Hazumu in some way, and end up going to his house to find him. Turns out he’s not there either.

You see Kamiizumi planting the Primula back into the forest and being sad, trying to forget the fun she and Hazumu had. Hazumu see’s a “shooting star” and starts wishing for a ton of stuff. The shooting star gets bigger and turns into the spaceship we saw earlier, and it ends up running right into him killing everything except, i guess, his soul. The aliens appologize to earth and say they did not mean to harm a human, they meant only to observe humankind and they accidently fell into earth. But they managed to save Hazumu, yet he couldn’t be made back into a male. He had to be made into a female. Opps?

Well Tamori and Kamiizumi follow the beam of light and end up catching the new improved Hazumu as she’s beamed down from space. They both are blushing and checking her out since she’s naked. Tada! Hazumu is now a female. Grats.

The episode is pretty much two stories going on at the same time. One is the past and how Hazumu worked his way to his confession towards Kamiizumi. The second story is present day with Hazumu and Kamiizumi crying and his friends trying to look for him to console him. Both stories converge when the spaceship lands and thus becomes “the day the boy transformed.”

Exciting! Now to hardcore the next few episodes to see if I’ll keep blogging this…
