Bleach - 92 - Enter the World of the Shinigami, Again

    Rating: 7/10 ( /yawn! )

Not as exciting as I hoped it to be, but hopefully they’ve got all the plot developed so they can get to all the juicy action that is BOUND to happen. Please don’t let me down.

Once again, the spirit world is being invaded and the captains etc. have to rise up and fight the intruders. Oh the joy! Oh the originality!

I don’t know how many people like Toshiro Hitsugaya, but usually enjoy the scenes he’s in, especially when he fights. His zanpakuto is pretty sweet with his ice dragon flying around freezing stuff and whatnot. I also like his personality (or whatever personality they’ve developed so far). He seems to be loyal, friendly, and tries to work hard and do his best in order to save everyone. Sounds nice eh? Well now he’s in charge of capturing the bounto, but I doubt he’ll be able to manage to do anything without more captains. Still, he’s cool.

Yeah so uh, the bounto have special alien-like powers now, especially Jin Kariya. Well, he couldn’t very well be weak and still put up a fight for Byakuya Kuchiki (which i’m anxiously waiting for, btw). He didn’t even seem to try very hard to smash this vice captain through a few walls. Well, please don’t disappoint me and make the end of the fillers worth watching.

I love Kukaku Shiba. She’s like the most tomboy of tomboy girls that i’ve ever seen in my life. Even without an arm she beats major ass, and she’s never ashamed to let her personality shine through (meaning beat ass…). I hope they feature her more in the next few episodes, but I have a feeling she’s just gonna launch the team over the walls again (so boring). If I got my way, shed participate in the fighting and beat some major ass (her specialty, as you can tell).

Well, at least the gang is finally in the spirit world. They’ve taken up residence at Kukaku Shiba’s house, which of course led to “funny” scenes of her beating ass on Ganju and Ichigo. I have a feeling they were trying to make us remember the “fun times” we had watching this pairing 40 episodes ago. Beyond that, the episode was rather dull and unexciting. I was expecting more fighting and less talking, but I guess it can’t be helped. Next episode it looks like the fighting will finally begin, and it may get dirty.

One last thing, which disturbs me quite a bit, is that fact that this filler arc hasn’t shown any sort of growth in any of the characters. Wtf is that? I hate watching 30+ episodes of a series. which features characters who need to get stronger to defeat stronger foes, only to find that they indeed did not get any stronger. At least, Ichigo was able to overcome some strange inability to use Bankai in the real world, but i’m sure in the real story he was able to use it without any problems. The writers just wanted to add some “fake growth.” Oh well, hopefully we’ll see some fighting.
