Bleach - 93 - Bount Assault! Chaos in the Gotei 13 divisions
Rating: 8.5/10
Well, at least the episodes are finally getting started. I’m not a huge fan of Rukia but this episode goes out to all those Rukia lovers. God knows she needed some quality screen time. Not a bad episode in general, but I want more pwnage!

I’ve always wondered why Rukia was so special this whole time, because she’s basically been helpless since the first episode. I guess I see a little bit of why in this episode, especially since she seems to do so well against a bounto without a Zanpakuto. She seems to have incredible control over her spirit energy, which is cool, but not my favorite style of fighting. Honestly, I’d rather see Ichigo zip around at light speed or something than see all this magic spirit stuffs. To each his own. I still really enjoyed Rukia’s fight and thought there were some pretty exciting scenes. One thing that drove me nuts though, was how Ririn was bouncing around making all those squeeking noises in a the middle of an awesome fight. It really ruined the whole atmosphere.

So um…yeah. Nerf bounto, please! So now they can regenerate themselves using the spirit material floating around in the spirit world. That’s pretty retarded. Although, it doesn’t seem like some of them are that strong, for example this chick. She should be whooping Rukia with all this extra energy she’s gained, but she seemed like she was constantly struggling to do anything to Rukia. In the end she would have won, but it took for fuckin’ ever, and Rukia isn’t even that strong compared to some Shinigami. It reminds me very much of Naruto, where characters will seem super strong, then at some point they’re dulled down to make everything believable. It’s kind of a cop-out.

Kuchiki Byakuya is pretty damn awesome. He’s always so smooth and composed and has this aura of badass that kind of just floats around him. Everything he does is like art, even his flashy save-the-day-in-the-last-minute entrance. Not only that, but his zanpakuto is way badass and overpowered at times. Even without using bankai, his power is extremely ridiculous. They made him out to be this uber bad guy in the last arc, but really he’s a good guy, and it’s shown by him rescuing Rukia. There is still some love in that cold heart of his!

If you watch past the next episode preview, you get a nice little extra which I thought was pretty funny. All the captains etc. were drinking sake and watching the moon, moaning with delight at the pretty scenery. Then it zooms in in the moon and you figure out that it’s “baldy” (that’s what Yachiru named him last arc). He’s the first guy Ichigo fought upon entering the gates. Anyways, I got a good laugh over it, and apparently they did too.
This arc had finally picked up and I’m looking forward to the next few episodes. I want to see Byakuya in action and kicking major ass. I also want to see Ichigo fighting along side him. I think it’d make for a great treat to see some teamwork between some of the powerhouses instead of lame 1v1 combat. *raises glass* Here’s to better, more exciting episodes to come!

Finally!
Some solid Rukia action, RUKIA FANS UNITE!!! That Byakuya rescuing Rukia scene looks pretty cool. Like you said, he just wants to be loved (awww/tingles etc).
Nice work Rets, and yeah Baldy is damned awesome. Yachiru likes eating his delicious sparkling head
.
Hopefully we Rukia fans get moar Rukia action, and also, I want to see Yachiru fight. Pink-Haired Moe Loli trashing some wicked sick Bounto would be something I would download.
