    Strong Panda is STRONG

    Rating: 8/10

I’m kind of disappointed with this episode, and with this series in general. I was kind of hoping the art was going to be a little better, and that the plot would somehow pick up the pace by now, but its just lagging like crazy. Still, I can’t say I dislike this anime because I really don’t, I just wish they had done a better job on it so I could appreciate it for all that its worth.

    Clandestine meeting between two lovers

Two men, some wine, a little ambiance, and a stare that can only say “I love you.” Take note gentlemen, this is how you get into the pants of your superiors, male or female. Seriously though, what was this all about? I haven’t read the manga or about any of the characters so I was kind of in the dark while watching this (like that pun? yeah, I suck). I THINK that’s Alice’s fiancee, and it looks like he’s doing more shady business deals. I wouldn’t really be surprised if he turns out to be the one who funded Invisible 9, or something even shadier if that’s possible.

They boarded a train to nowheresville and its traveling 9000 mph

While I enjoyed most of this episode, I disliked the ending. Nothing was accomplished in the end, except for the awareness of how deep the corruption goes within the Army. I would have liked at least some closure to the first more-than-one-episode arc, but I guess we’re left with the dreadful feeling that things are still not okay in the world. P.S.III still has a lot of work to do, and what they’ve done so far is nothing but a gnat on the ass of the world that they live in.

One other thing that kind of disturbed me, was that I felt little to no connection with whatsherface for losing her brothers best friends whom she trusted, and her brother’s work. She basically just lost everything she was living for, and yet I shrugged her off my mind like a door-to-door solicitor or something. She showed up, she tried, but her effort just wasn’t good enough–no kudos for her. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, and don’t forget to give back the bandage wrapping I used on your bleeding skull. I hope they can do a better job of working in the feature characters in the second half of the show, because I want to feel something when they exit.

Everybody’s a critic and everybody knows what’s best. I try hard not to fill that category, but sometimes I can’t help myself.
