Thank god he finally left Konoha. Suddenly, the town’s average level of ninja just went up 5% which is saying a lot since Jiraiya left too (stats are fun). Do us a favor and don’t come back next week so that we can watch characters who actually display a small amount of brains while fighting. In fact, why don’t you just toss the Kyubi chakra on over to Lee, Kakashi, or Shikamaru so we can rename the series already. Wait–what I really meant–Good luck training! /shifty eyes

Darkshaunz gets into a Bunnysuit

Score: 9.9/10

I’ve always been a fan of the short animation known as Daicon IV, which was made by Gainax in their early days to boost their portfolio, it featured a bunnygirl going through the ages and western pop references in her magical mini-pilot length journey. I then found out that they were going to make an anime out of that this season. I believe the Daicon IV bunnygirl was then reincarnated as the OP bunny lady for Densha Otoko (as a homage), so thats where its originally from. I don’t know anything about the Densha Otoko drama series, but I do know that this first subbed episode of *gasps for air* Getsumen To Heiki Miina (what a mouthful) is putting the red in my cheeks again, and giving me the urge…for carrots.

Darkshaunz knows he likes the Silent Types.

I’ve read a lot about this so called “2D complex”, its almost a buzz word amongst observers referencing Otakus. It deals with some of our fixations with anime female archetypes in anime. The Irony behind most anime, is that they deal very much with the grim, joyful and sometimes surreal translations of real life. If you look at Black Lagoon, its not that hard to imagine something seedy happening in a dark alley in a law-forsaken place somewhere in our world. Then I stumbled upon all the different types of girls in anime, and why we often fall for their charm. So join me, as I explore why we love our anime girls so much, and which types are realisitc representations of the real thing, amongst energy beams, saiyans and gundams.

Redefining the term “snow bunny”

Ever read the book Where’s Waldo, or maybe Where’s Wally? Do you remember how you felt when you played it? That’s kind of how I feel when I watch Kanon (2006). For those of you who have never read these books, hopefully I can explain it well enough to grasp. It’s like that lost feeling that you get when you’ve been looking an object you might have misplaced, where your hopes and dreams are dashed upon the fact that you’ve looked everywhere for said item, and it feels like your intestines are spilling out onto the floor as you cry for help but nobody is listening.

Lee: “Sooo…who’s going first?”

Rating: 7/10

Not quite what I was expecting, but it worked out pretty well. I still think the writers are retarded for throwing in the “use shukaku powers” arc right before the time skip. Well, whatever, there’s not much we can do about it now, but at least we know that next episode Naruto leaves town, and hopefully never comes back.

Nappa (right): “Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?”

I’m SO glad that Bleach makes up for all the pain and suffering I receive while watching Naruto filler episodes. The bleach story is doing a damn good job keeping me interested in the storyline, which in turn keeps me entertained. I’m not sure why, but I’m starting to like the Bleach artwork better than Naruto as well.  Shippuuden better hurry up or I’ll start having a n emo fit.

Lee’s smile gave me the courage to watch on, what a guy

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. Yeah, despite the awesome start of this arc, it quickly went into Xtreme depths of shittiness and decided never to return. Excuse me for a few seconds while I /wrists and cry in the corner of the room because this episode pretty much kicked me in the nuts. “Hey, fuck you retsgip for rating the previous episodes in the 8’s because we want shitty episodes in order to contrast the awesomeness that is the manga story.” Anyways, on to the good stuff…
