This episode gave me tingles AND I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. The artwork went well beyond my expectations, and their use of music really set the mood. I basically wanted to have sex with Ikkaku after watching this episode, you know, the kind where you pass out from ecstasy and overexertion. Yeah, that kind.

I think Grimmjow just killed of our favorite heroinette, oh shit…NAH. Ichigo apparently is too shocked to even go crazy and avenge her, but instead throws himself at Grimmjow with some half-assed-looking attempt. Ah, geez. This won’t be turning out well in the end, or so I feel. If Rukia survives this, she’ll probably be MIA the rest of the Arrancar arc “healing” or something. Right now, I’m waiting for Ichigo to explode with power and go fucking crazy so everyone stops what they’re doing and looks in their direction like “oh shit wtf is that.”

Seriously, can you be any cooler? What the fuck man. I was like <3. The scene where Yumichika was commenting on how happy Ikkaku while fighting gave me goosebumps. It all felt so epic and exciting and I instantly fell in love with Ikkaku’s style. We haven’t seen much of him up until this point other than maybe some butt ends of random jokes about his head. Finally, we get to see what he’s made of, and surely it spells out G-A-R. Not only that, but I loved how drew some of the scenes, like the two above. It makes him look even more hardcore. The more we see of the 11th division, the more I’m convinced they’re a fucking scary bunch.
I’m anxiously awaiting next episode to help wrap up all the loose ends they left with this episode. Is Rukia now MIA this arc? Will Ikkaku defeat the enemy? Will I get to rub my face on Ikkaku’s blood and scar covered, deliciously sexy body? What was the “freeze thing” that Yumichika called in for? Will Ichigo explode with all the love and passion he feels for Rukia? Hopefully all of these will be answered next episode. *squeals and runs away*

hey welcome back retsgip, and YES OH YES Ikkaku is like stunningly gar and awesome! the quality and nice angles sure made this episode a very enjoyable watch, as well as an annoying distraction for when i was meant to be completing a large history assignment due in 8 hours!
This episode also contains one of the more controversial lines from the manga. It is stated that Ikkaku is the 2nd-strongest man in the 11th squad. So it is still up for grabs on whether he is more powerful than Yachiru( the cute-loli Kenpachi-obsessed mentally-disturbed pink-haired vice-captain) or not.

yeah skane thats what ive been wondering as well. perhaps yachiru was only appointed vice captain due to her being a sort of soul mate for kenpachi. however, i have no doubt that she is powerful in her own right
wow since episode 114 bleach is having animation better than any other anime now even better than Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou
now i know where naruto budget went but no proplem because it is for super anime bleach

My heart stopped, and memories from the first season flooded into my neural being. It was as if I felt my heart shatter into a brittle, microscopic pieces, yet I knew I was powerless to do anything.
As the last drop of mineral water slowly slid off my dry and stunned lips, I could only watch in horror as Mascara bad guy threw Rukia aside like an acessory character.
But deep inside I knew.
Ichigo would have my revenge. Willful Wrath, hear my plea!

Skane: Yachiru is a woman…ooh play on words. Well, we’ve always known that both Ikkaku and Yumichka had some hidden talent since they’ve kind of always been mysterious. I’d prob go with the “soul mate” route though.
qwertypoiuy: definitely some good animation quality huh? I’m really enjoying the detail they’re putting into the animation. Looks great.

Interestingly enough i still get the feeling that Yachiru is stronger than ikkau. And it doesn’t look like Ichigo will “explode with power” just yet.
Oh yes i forgot to mention that Rukia won’t be MIA because her wounds are like healed in two episode due to Orihime.
I just watched the American dub of Bleach, the one of Ikkaku’s debut! God, the whole episode I was thinking, “This is the most awesome character!”, “Too bad he’s fictional,” and “Got to see the Lucky Dance again.” I cracked up at the Lucky Dance and kept rewinding and watching it all over again. His dub actor isn’t too bad but then again I haven’t heard Ikkaku’s seiyuu yet.
I’m wondering though, when did they learn to fly? almost 95% of this ep was done in mid air.
