Ah, the bleach episode that got lost somewhere on my computer and then due to living circumstances had to be downloaded via laptop. Sorry for the lateness but I should be pretty much settled now and no longer have to bounce around between different living places until midway through May. Anyways, this episode was pretty informative and quite the awesome filler episode if I may say so myself. Sad Darkshaunz for not being able to see Rukia avenged or if she’ll be alright. I assume she’s going to end up a paraplegic or something because she got fucked up hard yo.

Ikkaku gives good has a weird head

The worst aspect of this episode was definitely the artwork. You can tell that the artists were sticking with the “ugly forehead” motif during episode 119 and did a pretty good job of it if I may add. Other than that though, I found most of the scenes to be satisfactory, even if they weren’t super stellar “best animation evar” type material.

I must say though, this episode spawned in me a desire to go back and re-watch some Kenpachi fights. I’m not really sure why, but I went to bed after watching this and suddenly sprung from my covers and dug up my old dvds to watch the fights. Probably not the best thing to be doing the night before my final, but we all have our priorities. Apparently Kenpachi > Graduating College.

Wow, I was kind of scared after the huge Ikkaku tribute-esque episodes that he was going to die. I’m glad he lived because we finally got a look into his past and have realized just how fucking cool he is. Comic relief characters that can actually make a difference in the plot are all sorts of win (pretty much the opposite of the bounto finder shits). I didn’t really like this arrancar anyways, so I hope he rots in hell.

One thing I’m concerned about is the amount of bankai’s that are flying around lately. We now know that Ikkaku can bankai which came from way out from left field. I just hope that the “super rare” form of bankai doesn’t become overused, and that not many more people show up with the ability to use it. I have a feeling at least the stronger arrancars can use bankai. Who knows though…
