Darkshaunz advises Hideaki Anno to set Shields to maximum.

It’s no secret, no mystery that I am an outspoken Evangelion fan. No, not only that, I also partake in the franchise milking by purchasing Rei figures from her in winter clothing to her in a nurse outfit (how very unfortunate of me!). I also know there are a lot of passionate, intelligent and loyal Evangelion fans out there, who like me, have been waiting on the edge of our seats for any news of the new movies. Hurrah! I rejoiced in my room as I found out that Anno has released a press statement! Unfortunately to my horror, I am guessing he didn’t get the PR department to write it for him, its more like an attack on the whole industry. Eva fans, come with me as we try some damage control.

WHRYYYYYYYYYYY

This better not be an indication of more fanservice to come. I felt like I was hit in the face by a ball after watching the dodge ball scene. Why did they choose to accent such features? Have they finally broken down and decided to add a small amount of fanservice? I will turn away from this particular incident and pretend it was a some potential yuri material (YFR? not quite) for the young female audience. *whistles innocently* In all seriousness, it’s not that big of a deal, but it did kind of disappoint me seeing as I’ve been preaching that this is a show made to accent friendship and growth rather than lolis.

OMGKILLERSNAKE can’t phase Naruto Shippuuden

I was only able to find two trailers for Naruto Shippuuden so far, and they’re both pretty similar to each other. The first trailer allows us to hear Naruto’s voice, which sounds a little lower than normal. Like, omg his balls dropped kinda and I’m like halfway excited about it! The second trailer is more cinematic, and looks a lot cooler, but I find it really hard to make out what’s happening in the YouTube version. Shinsen-Subs was kind enough to sub it and release it on bittorrent for us, which you can get here.

Surprise, surprise. Retsgip jumped on the bandwagon by offering yet another “Best of,” “Top #,” or whatever else you choose to call these ranking schemes. First off, I want to mention that I absolutely hate comparing one anime to another, because I feel that most of them have different traits, which all fulfill me in different ways. In order to make it easier on myself (and the reader), I’m going with a Top 5, and then I’ll finish it up with a few awards.

If you haven’t checked out Ghost Hunt, I strongly suggest you do so the next time you have free time and bandwidth. At first the show seems a little like a romantic comedy, but give it a few episodes and you’ll see that it’s much much more than that. Anime News Network files it under: Comedy, Drama, Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural, and I agree for the most part. If you still don’t find it interesting once you get to episode 5, you can come call me a dick and I’ll accept any punishment you wish to bestow upon me.

As much as I abso-fucking-lutely love this series, I’m afraid I’ll have to put it on hold. The computers in my parent’s house just can’t handle the high resolution that Lunar subs. So if anyone was wondering where the Bartender recaps were, well that’s the reason. I was surprised I was able to even take this snapshot before it froze my computer. Anyways, I’m getting a laptop for Christmas, so I’m hoping that should be enough power to run the high resolution.

As a side note, if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to help smooth out my viewing, that would be awesome. I currently using VLC media player on default settings with an ancient P3 1GHz laptop with a built in video card that was just labeled “Mobility Raedon.”

Well, it finally happened. Naruto is dead. By dead, I mean that Dattebayo is no longer subbing it. Take a look at the “Quick FAQ.” Pokemon Diamond & Pearl apparently kicked Naruto’s ass so hard that it was sent reeling into a sparkle in the sky. Yeah, thats pretty much what happened. I think someone threw a pokeball somewhere in there as well but I wasn’t really paying much attention because both shows suck.

Sorry, I seem to have gotten the English adaptation of Bleach in my eyes and I need to wash them profusely and consult a doctor. I think it’s a little late for me folks, I should just gouge my eyes out now to save myself from any further pain.
