  • Kimikiss - Slight Hint of Rouge

    Darkshaunz samples this “Pure” Rouge

In collaboration with Abanzai! anime blog

There was no Bleach this week, but I didn’t realize it. I was too busy refreshing Tokyo Toshokan like some deranged hermit about to get laid for the first time (alas, no cake). So you know what this means folks, Hard-drive roulette time. I decided that I was looking for the title which sounded like it would involve an engaging and unique storyline, “Kimikiss-Pure Rouge” sounded like a winner, only because I’ve never seen an anime title like that before. It’s safe to say that the only thing unique about this series so far is its title.

    Bleach - Blacker than Dark

Posted on October 6th, 2007 by Darkshaunz - 2,859 Views

Darkshaunz looks forward to the coming installments

There’s not much to talk about in this week’s Bleach episode. It’s your typical transition-to-main arc fare which just outlines the things we should expect in the coming weeks. There’s no score attached because there was nothing as such to score. Animation and all that shit came through looking decent, but it’s great to see Ishida and Chad getting into the big picture again. Reminds me of when Bleach was at it’s peak, Soul Society arc. Can this new arc lead us into the land of awesome?

Bleach - Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door

    Darkshaunz sheds a fanboy tear

Score: 8.0/10 (Why take Rukia away from us!?)

I said in my previous entry that Rukia’s had an awesome run in the show ever since her return to Karakura town, and after our drowning wait of her return during the terrifying fillers. It was all too good to be true as usual, and we see her exiting stage right yet again (for no real reason). The episode continued on with the dark, angsty and twisted metal feel once again, leaving a bittersweet and tingling sensation at the back of your mouth. It is time for the hero to dim the light inside him and embrace the darkness, because there’s going to be a lot of it in the Citadel of night.

Bleach - She loves me, She loves me not, They love me

    Darkshaunz stands amongst Shipper artillery

It’s a beautiful saturday afternoon here, and what better weather to get into the mood for some Hollow smashing (a’la Episode 140). Ah wait, there wasn’t much of that in this latest episode, in fact this episode was Bleach exploring some of the more lovey-dovey moments of two certain people. So on front there’s a war between mankind and its’ guardians against the corrupted souls wandering our planes of existence, and another front, an internal skirmish about the hometown girl and her never-reaching love for a sword wielding fool. We also question the need and the current war between the two major shipping factions.

Chibi Genesis Evangelion - Petit Instrumentality

    Darkshaunz gets his Petit On.

In Collaboration with Abanzai! anime blog.

My fellow anime comrade Ooga invited as a guest author on his crib, he promised me a company car and a penthouse full of catgirls in heat (It was an offer only a retarded maniac would refuse). I refused, only to have him threaten to crawl up to my bed at night and slit my throat (which is about the time I accepted his offer). We’re ways away from even a shitty Camrip of the new Evangelion remake movie, so let’s vent our evangelion spirit somewhere else, namely at the recently announced Petit Evangelion series.

Bleach - Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Arrancars

    Darkshaunz remembers the Bleach movie.

    Episode Score: 9.0/10

    Movie Score: 7.9/10

Is it that time already? Time sure passes by quickly when you are having fun, as they say. By gosh, we are having a bloody ball with Bleach at the moment, the upwards sloping trend shows no signs of slowing down as our Karakura boys and girls continue to swing their pointy-things in the general direction of the big, bad Arrancars. As the clock ticks down to the Winter beatdown, both sides retreat to their respective lanes to a much needed showdown on this fateful afternoon. Oh, and I decided to add in some of my thoughts on the Bleach movie which was made available on the interwebs recently as an afterthought.

    Bleach - 139 - Bishie Blowout

    Darkshaunz wants to lick Luppi

    Score: 8.5/10

The balls to the walls action of Bleach has been rediscovered. The captain at the stern of the Bleach anime studio has steered away from the Iceberg which would have sunk the Titanic series into the North Atlantic, and into the warm tropical regions of Kickass County. This week’s episode is all about questioning your sexuality, whether you be a boy or girl. Let me get one thing straight, what the fuck Kubo Tite? Why? Why did you create such a sexy, effiminate, yet endearingly suave espada (more like Sexpada, amirite)? Also this week is the beginning of DragonbleachZ, with the return of a shounen convention - Beamspamming. Take that Goku! (who is raping the polls at the moment). Join me today as we put on our “That’s no TRAP!?” face of a confused Admiral Ackbar.

Cruel Death God’s Thesis - Interlude

    Darkshaunz tastes the lightning

There’s something sweet about the end of this month, and that is, in one day, the meaning of life gets rewritten and this blog’s favourite shounen is back on track with the manga-related material. I’ve been crying out for Rukia for the last few weeks, and like an elated puppy who’s nee-san has finally returned to cuddle it in the valley of warmth for the first time in ages, a half-smirking grin fills my face. The existentialist blabbering from before obviously relates to the fact that the new eva movie remake (first in a series of four), gets its nationwide premier on the first of September. That little spark inside me is just reacting to the electricity filling the air at the moment. The flashes of my ten year old gaze at Rei Ayanami in volume three of the NGE manga is haunting my mind once again, red and blue never looked more beautiful.
