Bleach almost gets back on track with cool fights and aw–wait…wait no. It still sucks. I give it way too much credit than it deserves, partially because it’s become a classic in my book, and I love the classics.

Rating: 8/10

Lets face it, this arc will never compare to the first 1-60 episodes. At least this episode was reasonably entertaining, partially because there’s more than 2 minutes of fighting, shrug.

Short summary of this episode in as little words as possible:

1. Ichigo gets beat up
2. Ichigo gets his bankai powers back
3. Ishida shows up and ruins everything
4. Everyone’s happy and decides to chase the bounto through the portal, together

I love this guy’s voice. It’s like borderline creepy but also strong and powerful and yet, still somewhat soothing. I’d do him. At least we got to see Zangetsu once more before Ichigo forget’s about him once again and goes off to fight. I really loved the relationship they were having earlier on, but now all that seems to be gone and the best they can do is have Ichigo ask him for power now and then.

I guess it’s cool that the writers found a way to give Ishida powers, even if they’re unstable, weak, or whatever. I found it to be kind of a small cop out, as was Ichigo’s bankai. At least they built up the fact that Ishida couldn’t use his powers for more than a few episodes. We didn’t even know Ichigo couldn’t bankai until halfway through the arc, and then we were like whatever by then anyway, at least I was. To have Ichigo bankai so easily after “so many”(it wasn’t even that bad was it?) problems is just retarded, in my opinion.

I speculate we get to watch every captian fight a bounto and probably lose, and then Ichigo and Ishida will clean up the mess.
