Darkshaunz checks out the latest in Konoha

Bleach fillers, goddamn. No, I haven’t picked up Naruto either, I just got kind of tired of the whole Menos Forest crapfest in Bleach (don’t worry Rukia fans, our girl is alright). So what does a man do when he gets sick of Super Spirit Fighting Rangers? He goes off and downloads the latest episode of Ninja’s-that-wear-normal-clothes-ruto of course. I am so far removed from the general Naruto anime plot that I have to use my years of intensive anime expert training, my wit and my stamina for enduring convoluted plothax storyline twists to my advantage. I am safely assuming that they are still looking for SASKAYYY, Akatsuki are still overpowered and Shizune is still hot.

Finally we get actual seal speed

So, uh, yeah. I’ve been ‘gone’ for quite some time now but rest assured I wasn’t giving up blogging, it was more that other aspects of my life suddenly became more important. Not that the 5 people who read this blog are unimportant, but you know, finding a job and graduating college comes first. Now that I’ve accomplished both (if I didn’t fail), I should be blogging at least a little bit.

Darkshaunz is “Shocked” by the new Naruto

Score: 5.5/10 (Too little action)

I’m wondering why nobody’s talking about the latest episode of Naruto. It was vastly entertaining and definitely felt like a whole different anime this time around. I tried to share my enthusiasm about the new episode with Retsgip, who prompted to look at me funny. This episode was done by a relatively new company called “YHBT” (I wonder what it stands for), its good to see a company other than Dattebayo has decided to pick up this awesome ninja shounen we have come to love. I know there are some changes in Naruto that manga fans hate, but this episode retains a lot of the original Naruto charm, Let’s savvy a look.

Darkshaunz checks out Shippuuden

Special Note: Gong Xi Fa Cai!, Have a Great Family Reunion, to all my chinese bros and sisters!

Retsgip’s the resident Naruto expert here, he reads the manga and probrably knows the name of a character’s second cousin if you asked him. On the other hand, I would be lucky if I don’t mistake a kunai from a bowl of ramen. The last episode I watched was when Naruto and Sasuke were killing each other at a waterfall place (thats like 10,000 years ago). Now that the “fillers” were over, I wanted to peek at what the community was up in joy about. Think of this as Retsgip Anime Blog’s Naruto Xtreme!!! coverage on the world’s favourite ninja series (aside from Ninja Scroll, of course)….I swore I left my soldier pills on my bloody desk.

Its good to see them mixing in Kakashi humor once again (I missed it)

Rating: 8.8/10

And so, after two years of dicking around and watching the grass grow in the Narutoverse, the new series finally appears. I wont claim that with this new coming, everything will be saved and that we can all magically forget that the fillers ever happened. What I will claim is that I’m satisfied with the pace and the method in which they presented the manga material. I have a feeling that quite a few mangatards will be up in flames with this episode, but they can go eat dick because whining about it isn’t going to change anything.
