Darkshaunz wishes he has a Familiar to display.
    Score: 7.8/10

Finally, we get to see some action in this latest installation of Zero no Tsukaima (Brief, however). This week’s focus will be on Hogwart Academy’s Yearly Familiar Evaluation. This episode up the temp from the previous one, and some we get to see part of Louise’s past…and boy is it a Nice, Delicious Past that our favourite loli-queen has. As you can see from the screenshot that’s obviously the Mage that is up to no good. If the evil smile and the overall up to no good aura doesn’t give it away, I don’t know what will.

So the Episode starts off how every Zero episode starts off, with Saito and Louise having at each other like a Married Couple. It’s nice to know that Saito, in just Five Episodes has already perfected the delicate art of washing Louise’s pretty and frilly panties. He’s so impressed by his newfound skill that he suggests to Louise that he can do it proficiently in front of a Live Audience for the Yearly Familiar Evaluations. We are then treated to a rather hilarious dream sequence where Saito don’s Siesta’s Maid Uniform to perform a monologue on just how stylish and elegant Louise’s undergarment fashion sense is.

Saito must have been a Cross Dresser in a Previous Life.

Now, I enjoy looking at Louise’s cute and illegaly small panties as much as the next guy (Heck, we’d love to see Louise in it I am sure). However, Louise doesn’t take too kindly to Saito’s rather perverted suggestion and decides its Bondage time. Now this is the third or so time in a row at which Louise brings out the leather whip. We all have to ask ourselves, “Am I going to Hell?”. I know I am, I know the writers of the show are. Because even though the TV Site says Louise is 16, I am convinced she’s 12 and she plays Dominatrixx to Saito. The writers are really milking the Moe-Bondage-Loli Fetish here, and I approve of that. Even if it means Eternal Damnation of my Soul.

Louise makes my knees all wobbly and stuff.

Mmmm….Louise’s sadistic look, I can’t/won’t ever get over them, and this week, she’s Bending the “Rod” a bit harder. These scenes are just Pure sex appeal, I hope the writers just keep dropping these into future episodes. But sometimes I have to wonder, how the hell do they get away with airing this in the daytime? Then I figured out the solution to this question, all the members on the Japanese Censor Board must be Pedobears, Yes that must be it. While we are on this train of thought, I must say I am concerned for the young Japanese male students over there. If girls are watching this, they must be getting some pretty kinky ideas.

Mr. Osman, Is there a Hentai Site you don’t subscribe too? I thought not.
Lets discuss about Mr.Osman. He’s a pretty cool old man, not because he is the Principal of a Magic Academy, but he’s more of a pervert than Kintaro from Golden Boy, and he’s probrably 100 years older than any of us. The White Rat is his familiar, its got a pretty messy name, but thats not the important part. At his command, the rat will infiltrate a lady’s body to collect various information. Dirty Information. But seriously folks, this guy just adds more flavour to an already eccentric cast aboard the Zero no Tsukaima train. Granted, he may portray the token perverted old man, I am sure we shall see more of him in action in the future. He reminds of the First Captain from Bleach, he just some Awesome/Ancient power under his Magic Robe.

Real Translation: Saito-san, I want you inside me.

No Zero no Tsukaima episode would be complete without Meido-chan. Now I don’t have qualms about her constant appearance in the series, as it is obvious all her exposure is a build up to some event towards the finale. But seriously, I don’t think its necessary to portion this much time in an Episode just to see the two share an “awww” moment. By the way, keeping count of things, this would be third intimate physical contact that the two have had since the start of the series. Upon further contemplation, it would seem that the writers are wanting to contrast the relationship Saito has with Siesta and the one he has with Louise. The Saito-Louise one is dry, one of domination and a relatively platonic one…whereas the Saito-Siesta one is shown to be more human, more affectionate and understanding. We’ll see which way the Writers will be swinging soonish I guess.

A New Challenger Appears: But this one doesn’t really give a damn about Saito, at all.

Hawt Lesbian Action in my Zero? Yes Please.

Then we are introduced with her Moe-ness, Henrietta-sama. In the Zero-verse, she’s the young Queen of the lands, a tragic case of losing her father the King at a young age. Henrietta’s a treat, she’s the archetypical well mannered, presentable and holier-than-thou character…with more Moe. Thats all well and nice, but we are then treated to the fact that Henriette was an important on Louise’s past, a past of being her Highness Henrietta’s “Playmate” (Interpret as you wish). Admittedly, I mistook Henrietta to be another addition to Saito’s growing harem of women which Louise has to battle against. But this episode took my assumption my the head and did a Chokeslam on it. Henrietta actually embraces Louise with such a vigor that it’s almost criminal. She basically rubs her face slowly around Louise and wraps her body around her beloved in every encounter. Here’s to hoping that Henrietta bats for the other team!

    Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Golem!

The Familiar Evaluation comes and goes in this episode. Kirche’s Charmander (thats what it is) does a Flaming attack (we presume Flamethrower), Guiche’s Belldandy does a Model Spread thing and Tabitha’s Dragon looks like its about to Smoke the whole audience. Saito stuffs it up and embarasses it for Louise, being completely unable to activate his rune and manage even one swing in front of an already laughing audience. Obviously, we feel bad for Louise here, and I too sometimes wonder why the girl won’t just go Commando on them already…she has enough Firepower to make Russian Missile Cruisers seem like Child’s Play. As they dorely retreat from the contest, they encounter the Dust-Thief Lady and her Summoned Pet, a Rock Golem. Now if you guys and gals have played your fair share of RPGs, you would know that Golems are Serious Business. But I must say, this Golem sucks, because it couldn’t smash a magic barrier which Louise managed to disable with one small wand wave. Saito gets into trouble when the Golem picks him up, but is then released when the Dust-Thief Lady gets what she wants.

We know who you are, Osman’s Secretary. Make it more Obvious? lol.

So anyway, Osman’s Secretary (Even a Blind man could guess this: The Green Hair, Identical Outfit and Her smile when talking to Mr.Colbert about the Doors etc), runs away with some Super-Awesome-Limited Edition Staff of Destruction and smugly thanks Louise for disabling the Magical Barrier her useless Golem could not. We then share a scene where Louise tells Saito that she would never leave her familiar as it against the Samura-I mean Mage Code. It then does a stereotypical “Look to the heavens” pan up which follows the credits etc. I ranked this episode higher overall than the previous one because we got to see Louise pwning some supposedly kick ass Golem, Dust-Thief is pretty sexy, We get Louise’s sadistic S&M smile and of course, deliciously Implied Moe-Lesbian action. I’ll catch you next week when the gang go out on a Thief-Hunt!

    Cheers!

    Darkshaunz.

Please use <spoiler></spoiler> tags when appropriate, thanks!

    1. The principal is awesome. They don’t show him enough, but whenever he’s featured I always get a good chuckle.

The lesbian encounters were quite…interesting. I smell 3-some or maybe 4-some coming in the future woot!

To me, Siesta and Saito look more like relatives than lovers. Put her back in a red meido outfit and i wouldn’t mind her as much. But serious, who runs back and holds someones hand to wish them luck, try-too-hard much?
