I had a massive amount of neutral feelings towards this episode, and that’s about it. I didn’t really pay attention to what was happening, nor do I remember what happened because I was staring blankly at the screen as the boring and relatively predictable plot bounced off my eyeballs in attempt to corrupt my brain. Have no fear comrades, I held strong in the face of danger and didn’t give an inch to this unrelenting beast-of-an-anime, even if it caused acute retinal bleeding.

So like, now that I’m done being in the medieval era, I’ll move on to episode 206, which surprisingly wasn’t that bad. I won’t go so far as to say it was a good episode, but it wasn’t bad. I’d probably just call it a predictable episode, even though I felt like they were trying pretty hard to trick us. Silly writers, “trix are for kids!

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’m getting bored of the same damn music over and over again for 206 episodes. You’d think that there’d be new music by then, but no, they can’t bother themselves with such trivial matters apparently. I know if I worked there, I’d be focusing more on making filler episodes than actually improving the show too. It costs $$ to make new things; heaven forbid they spend money after milking the series for so long.

By the way, check out Mr. Shota giving it to Naruto from behind. I’d say I feel bad for Naruto but I just don’t have the heart to care. In fact, he probably deserves a good raping (literally) after the crap he’s put us through.

I’d say the saving grace of this episode was the artwork. Since they’re “surprisingly” trappen in Yakumo’s genjutsu, a lot of the scenes were done pretty artistically, well for naruto at least. Naruto’s art pales in comparison to most good animes, which leaves the characters and plot to pick up the slack, but we know that’s not happening. Still, I enjoyed the emo nature of the artwork more than normal.

This arc seems to be one big subtle relationship pairing between Sakura x Naruto as well as Hinata x Naruto. There’s a lot of scenes that feature either of the pairs. I’m starting prefer the Sakura x Naruto pairing now that Hinata’s become infinitely more annoying. I’m glad she’s fat after the time skip, and I’m glad Sakura is actually useful as well. Now, if only therer was a time skip, then life would be good.

Not much else to say about this episode. Like I mentioned above, I found this incredibly boring and predictable, despite not being a horrible episode. Picky picky! I guess I shouldn’t really expect much from this anime anymore. Perhaps I should go back to taking a comedic stance to blogging these.

    1. Well, I’ve quit the anime, but the manga seems to be taking on a more serious note. Naruto might start getting good again!

    2. Indeed the manga is relatively enjoyable to read. I’m interested in how they’re going to anime it or if they’ll stick to the manga religiously. Although, I wonder if it’ll be as good now that I already know what happens.

    3. At least, the designers are putting more than a half-arsed direction with their episodes in terms of artistic direction with the fillers. If the writers truly are getting back on the ball or so to speak…then perhaps if and when Kakashi Gaiden gets animated, we can sure of a quality result.

      Key word is IF. :p
