Pokemon D&P - Do you still wanna be the very Best?

Darkshaunz revisits his childhood, only to find it raped and burnt.

Thoughts on: Diamond and Pearl Episode 1 (Gotta catch em’ all)

Don’t be alarmed, Retsgip anime blog hasn’t suddenly decided to pick up the Pokemon anime series or anything, though I happen to suspect we may be one of very few (or only one) if we did. The shounen rant I wrote previously lead me to thinking just how my childhood anime experiences shaped the way I view or enjoy the anime series I do today. Plus the series is being subbed by Dattebayo, which happen to be the company I rely on (and Rets) on for the weekly Bleach fix. I have very vivid memories of being extremely excited to see Ash, Brock and Misty combine their powers to beat Team Rocket and the Indigo League before it was time for school. Oh, and remembering the lunch-break trading card trades is also very nostalgic. Has Pokemon changed over these years?

Darkshaunz makes sure he insures his scouter

It’s been a while folks, if you’re wondering where Rets and I have been recently, well I’ve been busy preparing for exams and finishing off university assessments and will still be out of the loop for the coming weeks. Retsgip is currently in Los Angeles, so he’ll be out of it for at least a week (I’ll scrounge him for an entry for you BLEACHers when he gets back though). But I had a special request from a fellow blogger recently, who was organizing a series of guest entries for his blogging pad, his name is Runningkid and he runs Ruki: The Running Blog, he’s a fellow Shana enthusiast like me (well like all of us, who doesn’t loev tsundere loli?). His request was pretty simple, “Shaunz, I need you to write something about your favourite genre”, and so in Retsgip tradition, we powerup our memes and pay homage to Saiyan-wannabes across the anime world. Kamehameha Bitches.

Bleach - Grippin’ my balls with suspense

Nice hair gel! Lemmie get some of tha–oooh sticky!

So um, hi. I’ve been absent for awhile, but it’s only because I found this really neat anime called real life and it’s been taking up 95% of my time. When I only have about 3 hours a day to myself it’s sometimes a little difficult to watch anime, let alone write about it. But hey, I don’t want such a beautiful, blossoming piece of artwork such as this blog to go to waste. So, all you boys and girls(no such thing as girls on the internet) get to suffer through my entries once again. Aren’t I just the sweetest?

In more related news, nothing this season really strokes me hard enough, even after testing the waters for 1-2 episodes for each anime. Everything seems so boring or unoriginal, and I’m really starting to get tired of the damn lolifest that has invaded the world. I don’t mind high school, but loli is just so retarded. Not only is the concept retarded, but I can hear psychologists all over the world sighing as they fill their calenders with little girls who were raped by 18+ year old Japanese men.

The Girl who Leapt through Time - A Timeless Piece

Darkshaunz follows Trunks back to the future

Score: 9.9/10 (An anime movie for the Ages)

As people move from place to place, as events happen, as the landscape changes and as the mankind tries to fill the void between past and future, there is one thing which will always stay the same. There is never enough time. For as long as I can remember, we have done everything in our power to change the one element we could not harness to our advantage, we have construed strange and bizzare astrophysical formulae to comprehend the manipulation of time and to our dismay, it seems it will be a long time before anything of the sort happens in our lifetime. Conveniently, the power to change everything, to turn regret to happiness, to change bad to good, lands on the palms of a young high school girl named Makoto. The master of Time, is truly the master of everything. But…even Masters make mistakes.
